Hypnosis is a normal brain state, and is something you experience many times a day, every day. You enter a hypnotic (trance) state when you’re deeply focused or absorbed, such as when you’re driving on autopilot, lost in a book, or daydreaming.
In hypnotherapy, this natural state is gently guided to help you relax, focus inward, and access the subconscious mind. You remain aware and in control throughout, simply working in a calm and focused way with your thoughts and inner experience.

Yes, everyone can be hypnotised. It’s a natural state that you already experience in everyday life, such as when you’re fully absorbed in a conversation, a book, or a film.
In a therapeutic setting, hypnosis works best when you want it to happen, expect it to happen, and allow yourself to engage with the process. The real question is not can you be hypnotised, but whether you’re ready for change
-
Hypnotherapy is often considered a more solution-focused and time-efficient approach compared to traditional talking therapies, as it works directly with the subconscious mind where patterns are formed.
By addressing the root of an issue, many clients experience noticeable and lasting change in fewer sessions.
-
All information shared in sessions is kept confidential and will only be disclosed with your consent as part of a professional referral. Exceptions apply where there is a legal duty to share information, including concerns relating to safety, risk of harm, or criminal activity.
-
The effectiveness of hypnotherapy is not determined by the number of sessions, but by your engagement with the process, particularly practising techniques between sessions. As each client and issue is unique, the number of sessions required will vary.
The most important factors for success are an open mind and a willingness to explore the direction your unconscious mind leads.
-
Hypnotherapy works by accessing the subconscious mind - the part of you that stores habits, beliefs, and emotional responses. By working at this level and building a connection with your inner self, we can create meaningful, lasting change that feels natural and aligned.
-
Hypnosis cannot cause you to act against your moral or ethical values. You remain in control at all times and will not reveal secrets, betray confidences, or behave in a way that feels wrong to you.
